The massive buildout of data centers across the United States has proven disruptive to countless communities causing irreparable harm in numerous forms. Suddenly, access to clean drinking water, reasonable utility rates, peace and quiet, and third places/second homes for people are all in jeopardy. This includes motorsports.
Rapid Designs is based out of Pittsburgh, PA, home to the world-class racing facility named The Pittsburgh International Race Complex, dubbed “Pitt Race”. Unfortunately, last year Pitt Race was purchased and is slated for demolition to make way for a new data center. Despite our best efforts, we were unable to protect Pitt Race and the deal went through.
Although we may have lost Pitt Race, an organization was formed in the ashes to help protect other racing venues from similar fates.
